White Ribbon wins 
Twenty four Pilot organisations have passed the first of three steps in White Ribbon Australia’s national Workplace Accreditation Program. These organisations are now well on their way towards achieving Accreditation.
Already 85+ organisations have registered their interest in joining the Program in 2014. To be a workplace leader and register your organisation, please click here
Ten young people recently visited the White Ribbon Australia office to help lead youth engagement. The White Ribbon Australia Youth Forum is a new initiative which gives young people an even louder voice in the Campaign.  Welcome to the White Ribbon Team!

Domestic Violence NSW: Monday 9 September marked the official launch of Domestic Violence NSW (formerly NSW Women’s Refuge Movement). 
New Council for NSW: Our CEO, Libby Davies, has been appointed as a non-government member of the NSW Domestic and Family Violence Council. Read more about the Councilhere.
School Workshops: Second round workshops for the Breaking the Silence in SchoolsProgram were recently held in the NSW regions of Albury, Riverina, New England, Western NSW and Sydney. To date 126 schools have participated in workshops, with the benefits of the Program extending to more than 62,000 students. For more about the Program, watch thisshort video
60 Seconds with Dr. Adam Tominson: The Stats Behind the Story provides a closer look at the numbers relating to violence against women. 
Ambassadors in Action: In 2012 Detective Superintendent James O’Brien of the Northern Territory Sex Crimes Division organised the White Ribbon Day Solidarity March for the Northern Territory. Plans for the 2013 march are now well and truly underway. Read morehere.

Challenge of the Month  
Walking the Great Dividing Trail 
Cancer survivor Bill Snooks is taking on the 300 km Great Dividing Trail. In a super human effort, Bill will traverse the top of the Great Dividing Range in central Victoria between Baccus Marsh and Bendigo via Ballarat, Creswick, Daylesford and Castlemaine.
Bill is aiming to raise funds and awareness for White Ribbon Australia. He is also looking for people to support his walk, and perhaps even join him if you are in the area! To read more about Bill's adventure click here.

White Ribbon Day is fast approaching with events happening across the country, here are just a few:
13 October: Join the 'Good Guys' Madora Bay Fun Run in support of White Ribbon Australia. With 4km and 9km options, there is something to suit every fitness level. For more information click here.
22 November: White Ribbon Australia is proud to announce that the White Ribbon Day White Tie Gala Dinner is coming to Western Australia. Save the Date!
25 November: Acclaimed internationl human rights lawyer Michael Hourisian will be the keynote speaker at the sixth Annual Adelaide White Ribbon Breakfast. Full details.
25 November: Join NSW Police and Randwick City Council for the third Sydney White Ribbon Walk. The 30 minute walk raises awareness and funds for White Ribbon Australia. For more details click here
25 November: We invite you to join the annual 2013 White Ribbon Day Luncheon which will once again take place in Melbourne Town Hall. Save the Date
29 November: Members of the Australian Defence Force and their supporters will walk/run around Lake Burley Griffin. For more details click here
