Wowfest is all about Women Speaking Out and it launches Geelong?s month of action that focuses on the impact of family violence and sexual assault on women and children. It?s a free event for all members of the community to be held this Friday the 25th in Market Square Shopping Centre on the eve of Reclaim the Night. The month of action to Stop Violence Against Women runs through to the 25th of November, and there is much happening in our region to raise the awareness of this problem in our community. To talk about all of this today, I have a studio full of women:- Antonia Halloran-Lavelle from Zena Women's Services, and Glenda McNaughton & Annie Church from the Reclaim The Night collective.
