Walk In My Shoes

Geelong Library, Little Malop Street, Geelong 

Cost: $35 

Zonta Club of Geelong are hosting a public display at the Geelong Library, the display will include stories of women who have left a situation of family violence. The stories are a celebration of their success and recognition of their courage.

Working Women Get Organised Conference

Geelong Women Unionists Network presents... Working Women Get Organised - A one-day conference on issues affecting all women.

Conference registration opens at 8.30am 

Conference sessions 9am to 4pm 

Equal Rights for Women rally 4pm to 6pm 

Conference Dinner at 6.30pm 

Cost: $20 Waged or $15 for unwaged/students

Includes dinner, morning & afternoon tea. Lunch available at a small cost. Child care available via booking only.

Equal Rights For Women Rally

Leaving from Geelong Trades Hall, 127 Myers Street, Geelong

Rally from Geelong Trades Hall to Market Square to highlight the issues of violence against women, unequal pay and inequality of women. Hosted by Geelong Trades Hall, Geelong Women Unionists Network and Reclaim the Night Women Geelong.

Barwon Month of Action Morning Tea

This is a private event for staff of the State Government Office. The staff of the State Government Office will be holding a morning tea to highlight the issues of violence against women and children. 


White Ribbon Day - Deakin University

Friday 24 November 2017 12:00pm 

Deakin University will be hosting a White Ribbon Day event at the Waurn Ponds campus. The event will include guest speakers and for participants to pledge their support for eliminating violence against women.

Portarlington Primary School Breaks the Silence Around Violence

Friday 24 November 2017

This is a private event for students and staff. During the week of White Ribbon the students will be involved in activities to promote Respectful Relationships. On the day there will be activities for the students with the final activity seeing the students create a human white ribbon.

Strength of a Woman – A Gender Equity Conversation and Photographic Exhibition – City of Greater Geelong

Friday 24 November 2017 6:00pm 

At the 2018 International Women’s Day event, hosted by the City’s Women in Community Life Advisory Committee, attendees were invited to be part of a photographic project titled Strength of a Woman. It provided local women the opportunity to share what they saw as being the strength of a woman. To compliment the exhibition, four outstanding local women will share their journeys and perspective of gender equity and gender equality.

White Ribbon Cricket Cup

Spring Creek Reserve, Torquay 

Limited over White Ribbon themed cricket game involving representatives from all Surf Coast Cricket Clubs. Human White Ribbon and speeches during the innings break.
